For those who want to know:Kari-gurashi (this release) is NOT the soundtrack for the film - this release is more so a 'Songs From and Inspired By'. Instead of containing the music scored and used in the film like the OST release does, 'Kari-gurashi' is a Cecile Corbel album with songs written from the perspective of the characters and their world. Some songs crossover from the soundtrack, but most are entirely original to this release - making this much more of a complete album from the artist.One thing that is very interesting about this release also, is the language of it. This all stems from Cecile Corbel being a French singer-songwriter, with all of her albums to my knowledge being in French. However, as you can clearly tell, the film 'Kari-gurashi no Arritetty' and this album's title is in Japanese. The CD has only ever been released in Japan and France.This is all very interesting when you consider that THIS ENTIRE ALBUM IS IN ENGLISH. Very confusing, I know. This album is magnificent, and is honestly in my opinion the best original music from any animated film I have ever heard. Which makes it all the more mystifying why this has never gotten a release in an English speaking country despite the fact that it is sung entirely in English (With the exception of the final, bonus track being the original, Japanese rendition of the English Track 2).PLEASE find a way to attain a copy of this album. To my knowledge, the only streaming service that has this album is Apple Music. With Spotify, TIDAL, Pandora etc. being out of luck I'm afraid.As confusing as this release is please listen to it - it's great. This just makes me wish that more of Corbel's music was in English and actually obtainable here in the UK.
